About Toussaint Bonnet

Toussaint Bonnet is more than just an antique dealer. He is a world citizen, scholar and aesthete who has been seeking the most exquisite in decorative objects and curiosities his whole life. After completing his Master’ s degree in Arabic at Leiden University, Toussaint embarked on a successful career in Private Banking. He left the banking industry in the fortunate position of being able to fully devote himself to his passion and opened his gallery in 2010 in the “Spiegelkwartier” in Amsterdam.

The  “Spiegelkwartier” is situated in the shadow of the Rijksmuseum and  is a historic borough full of picturesque Dutch houses dating back to the Golden Age. And for eighty years this area has also been the heart of the Dutch art and antique trade.

More than 300 years decorative art

Toussaint has amassed his collection over the past 25 years, and it continues to grow. The shop is set up to display the most exclusive and decorative objects in a full interior setting. If you would ask him to sum up his collection in a few keywords, he would say: stylish, eclectic, elegant, exciting, timeless and international. His collection emphasizes French and Italian objects and is rather broad, which means that in fact you will find everything a home needs, from furniture and paintings to mirrors, porcelain, clocks and lighting.

A large part of the collection you will find on the website. Off course you are always welcome to visit the gallery. It is possible to make an appointment outside the opening hours. Purchases can be delivered anywhere in the world.
